NICHOLAS DASS
AR & UWP Patient Diagnostic Prototype Application
In an NSERC-funded collaboration between Sheridan’s Centre for Mobile Innovation and Cloud DX, we aimed to revolutionize patient diagnostics in healthcare settings. While the team focused on various aspects of the project, my specific contribution was the development of the Augmented Reality (AR) application prototype for Microsoft's HoloLens.
Utilizing Unity and C# scripting, I successfully integrated various assets to create an AR interface that displays real-time patient vitals. The application works in tandem with Cloud DX's Vitaliti wearable device, capturing and displaying essential data such as Heart Rate, ECG, Blood Pressure, Respiration Rate, SpO2, and Core Body Temperature.
This cutting-edge AR diagnostic tool was featured at the SingularityU Canada Summit in October 2017 and gained media attention on Daily Planet. The prototype is showcased at the 0:33 mark in the YouTube video below.
